Nope.
Even as a kid I reasoned that God said not to eat animal blood or another humans blood, but nothin' about my own.
growing up as a jw born-in during the 1980s i distinctly remember cutting my tounge.
i was afraid to swallow my blood, thinking that if i even swallowed one drop i woudn't make it to the new system.
so i kept spitting the blood out.
Nope.
Even as a kid I reasoned that God said not to eat animal blood or another humans blood, but nothin' about my own.

aren't witness lucky that they are protected from such tainted blood.
Yep, if the ham sammich has rotted, no piece of it is good either.
Damn witlesses always pickin' apart ham sammiches.
after much prayerful consideration, responsible representatives of the "faithful and discreet slave" class have decided to reduce the number of times that the name jesus appears in the main text of the new world translation of the holy scriptures (greek scriptures) from 919 to 79.. the reason for this change is one of the same reasons recently given for the new songbook.
as you may recall, the songbook "sing praises to jehovah" had about half of the songs with jesus as the theme.
in the new songbook, "sing to jehovah", we felt it appropriate for jehovah to be exalted more than jesus so the songbook reflects that balanced view by having 2/3 of the songs praising jehovah and 1/3 to jesus.. the translation committee for the new world translation of the holy scriptures found it appropriate to restore the divine name "jehovah" 237 times in the main text of the christian greek scriptures, this is very disproportionate from the number of times the name "jesus"occurs, which is 919 times in the main text.
it seems to me with all the times being cut from talks, you could save further time and simply smash all the meetings into one on the weekend.
this would also save the need for those extra kingdom hall songs, and one trip to the kh.
with all these savings, jws could easily double their ministry..
I don't think they'll relinquish much more time monopolizing control (less meat-ings, ass-em-bleeds and con-ventions), but I do think they will be shortened
Case in point, the WTS. The new format in the magazines contains wider margins (for notes), larger print (ease of reading/study) and far less material/scripture. This new dumbed down version feels like we're beating a dead horse taking one full hour to go over, so I wouldn't be surprised if the WTS gets shortened.
They will most likely give some bs excuse, like it's for more service time on Sunday, but we'll all know it's because they are losing R&Fers who don't like giving up their whole Sunday morning (or whenever) for this shit.
The same was true of the BS that went by the way of the dodo bird. The $ociety said it was for more personal study time, but it was because attendance was appalling, NO ONE WENT.
i have a personal theory about russell, rutherford and franz.. it extends to end times religious people in general.. that is, highly intelligent...end times believers.... .
there is a tension to believing something that never seems to overlap with reality.. your intelligence keeps flashing "something's wrong".. but, your deeply held convictions (faith) tells you to shut the f**k up!.
so, you live your live with a "gnawing" away at your brain.
In the case of wash-towel it's anxiety due to desperation; a lot of what was so solid for decades is now is crumbling.
I don't think of it as simply waiting on a bus that never comes; that denotes the road and location are already there and the bus IS actually coming.
I’d liken it more to a bunch of poor souls being told to wonder a dense forest, because, before you know it, there WILL be a city, roads, benches and a bus to come and whisk you away shortly.
However, evidence is mounting that the promised free ride is never coming so they frantically try to keep R&F controlled all the while growing more anxious on how to do so.
brother pathological liar has remained in his position (appointed by the holy spirit) for thirty years now.
he has no problem lying under oath.
(prayer before a judicial comitte, investigation) or slandering anyone who might stand up to his darkness.
Elderberries and elderettes are mainly power hungry authoritarians. They know the troof and the privileges that their prominent status gives them, kinda like a free hall pass; besides their actions show they don't believe, and know it's complete hooey.
Now add this to a $ociety that has different standards for higher and lower level officials, and you get the WTBT$.
All this courtesy of Jayhoover’s Holy Spirit.
as we all know voting or any political involvement is a big bad no no in the jw org.
i actually have been a registered voter since i was 18 and was still in the org.
obviously i kept that very quiet until i made my break from the org.
WHY?
It's like being asked to decide if you want to be slowly tortured to death by this elderly menacing phony or that not getting any younger sinister hypocrite.
Who cares? They're both old creepy liars who are going to kill you, so does it really matter?
Just surprise me!
i still have jw stuff like bibles and watchtower i have to get rid of.
do you any of you guys and girls here have stuff you to get rid of..
I'm still in so I do have some, but everything I think I can get by without goes straight into the recycling bin (even the new stuff from conventions).

you people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving god and one who has not served him.mal.
what a contrast in outlook there is between those who are part of the christian congregation and those who are not!
one of the big adjustments for many of us was growing older and realizing retirement was a reality.
did you have a company or government retirement package or personal ira or 401k.
what advice would you give the 20 to 60 year olds coming to term with 'life in this system'..
Don't forget that when you are retirement planning you must also consider the cost of (gasp) aging.
Do you have enough insurance? Most people think they do, but they don't.
Do you have the right kinds of insurance? Depending on your age, give serious though to life and long-term care insurance. Most people think of retirement savings solely for living expenses, but nothing eats away at even large retirement funds faster than someone who is ill and needs round the clock/extra care.
Think about talking to a good reputable financial advisor. Yes it's hard to pay them some of that hard earned money but it’s their field expertise (not yours), and even if you don't "do business" with them they are a treasure trove of advanced financial information.
Other than that, SAVE YOUR ASS OFF. J
